this is my worry and not only the fans, he had teammates basically telling him he ruined their future (by lowering their draft status and such).

with the fans running their mouths and their coaches being their parents on the sidelines all a player has is himself and his teammates.

they say you have to have amnesia but that $#!* follows you around. i hope he can put last season behind him.

    Ok.. I'll bite...

Won't bother me a bit. If the coaches see fit to put him there, then so be it.

PC? I've been called a lot of things, but PC usually isn't one of them... (assuming you meant politically correct)...

I gave you an honest answer to the question. Honesty (to my life's experience) usually has very little or nothing to do with being politically correct.

But to elaborate, no I will not 'cringe' when he takes the field. Will I, for an instant, remember what kind of year he had last year? Of course, who wouldn't? I didn't blank it from my memory or anything. But I'm not going to start pulling hair, biting nails, or throwing a fit when he gets under center. The jackass that sits behind me does enough of that. If he's in there, the coaches see a reason for it... Even if he throws a pick, the worst I'll think is "Damn, sucks to be in his shoes right now.", but I won't be upset about it.

Am I more comfortable with JJ as the starter? Yes... based on what I've seen at the spring scrimmage and the one I went to a couple weeks ago (which ironically, JJ was the only one to throw an int at that one)

I remember the dark days of LSU football when it was more entertaining to go to the stadium and watch the FIGHTS break out in the stands then watching the product on the field.

And yes LEE could have played ALOT worse all though I cant buy into the Auburn argument because THEY WERE COMPLETE GARBAGE last season. And yes LSU and other college teams have had worse QBs play for them but the trend as of late with LSU is Qbs with the abilities to come in off the bench in pressure situations and win.

His pick 6s were not just luck on the defenses part, they were really BAD throws and poor choices in where to go with the ball. Will that get better with time yes it usually does....BUT not always!

And thats what gets me...everyone is so sure that his experience will kick in and he will be much better.....but there is a chance that it wont and thats the point I am bringing up.

You mean like having to rally from behind like in last year's Auburn and Troy games? Pressure isn't Lee's problem. He's inconsistent.

By the way, an equally valid question is, "do we really want Jefferson in the game in the second half?"

Based on practice reports and the 08 bowl game, I think everyone wants to see if JJ is as good as we suspect he can be. First clue very soon!
