Ok, after reading Miles' comments, it's obvious that he's gonna give Jarrett Lee a shot a redemption somewhere in the coming season. It may just be the last few plays of a game, or some other non-pressure situation.
The question is: How will you as a fan react, especially in Tiger Stadium? Will you boo him? Or will you be nice and wait for the interception before degrading him? Or maybe you're a Tiger Fan with manners, and just cringe and hope he doesn't cause too much of a problem. I'd be interested to hear how you anticipate fan reaction.
I really think Mr Lee should have found a way to transfer and get a fresh start, but that's just my opinion, I could be wrong.

Jefferson still starter, but Miles high on Lee | theadvertiser.com | The Advertiser

I won't boo him if i am at Tiger Stadium. But i will in my home if he makes stupid decisions. I honestly do not think he should be in any game in any situation. I think mop up time should be split between Shep and Garrett. But i don't get paid the big bucks to make those decisions, but you know there will be some in Tiger Stadium that will not receive him well.

I'll support him the way I support any of our players. And I think most people are willing to at least give him a chance even though we'll have our share of boo-birds in Tiger Stadium. But let me put it to you this way: the fan reaction ain't gonna be pretty when he throws his first pick.

I've never booed a Tiger players and I never will. Those that do should be ashamed to call themselves Tiger fans.

Lee was thrown to the wolves as a freshman when he was supposed to be the 3rd stringer, still learning the ropes. Where does it say he can't ever get better? Without Lee, LSU is one injury away from a disastrous season.

I have faith in Tiger fans. 2008 is over, its 2009, and the first time Jarrett Lee takes the field, he will get a warm, encouraging welcome from Tiger fans. JMO

Absolutely. It took a lot of guts to stick it out after the last season. He could have easily just gave up and transferred. Instead, he worked his butt off this off season to try and improve and correct the problem he had last year. He's got my respect. He'll get as warm of a welcome from me as anyone with the uniform on.

I agree he was thrown to the wolves. It just seems to me that a new environment and team would have been a good option. I don't necessarilly want him to leave, and I would NEVER boo a Tiger player in Tiger stadium. I just hope fan opinion doesn't screw up his ego or affect future play. And obviously, Miles says his play is drastically improved. I wish him well.

Why wouldn't a Tiger fan be "nice" to Lee? It does us or him no good to treat him with hostility. We need him to be better than last year but he's not gonna do that if we keep reminding him about it.

Never got why home teams boo, it doesn't help things one bit.

    bravo! *applauds*

'xactly! with the way some tiger fans treated him, booing and cursing him (in tiger stadium!) he could have said "f you" and really left us high and dry, throwing jefferson into the same environment before he was ready and ruining him, too.
