9/13 is the week before we play at Auburn. No way in hell we schedule a tough game that weekend.

We have two TBA dates. One of them should be with a nationally-ranked team.

I disagree. We should not schedule any teams outside our division.

Thank you Virginia Tech for screwing us over and not playing us in Baton Rouge as originally planned. It left us in a bind at the time but paid off nicely this year in elevating our strength of schedule and resume that ultimately led us to the National Title.

Once again, this season was all about destiny and these guys weren't going to be denied!

There aren't any good teams out there that want to come play us at home or do a home and away series. They need their own rent a wins to keep blemishes off their record.

We'll have to fill it with a patsy, like a big 10 or PAC 10 team. :D

I would say we schedule a ACC team or a Big East team or even Big Ten.
It doesnt matter to me as long as it is a respectable program.

We have an open date on 10/4, the week before we travel to Florida. But the TBD is listed for 9/13.

We're fooling ourselves to think we will play a big time OOC team the week before a huge SEC game.

Tough to find a good site to easily see who has a TBD on that date. Anyone have a link?

CFB Palace has the capability, but they don't have next year's schedules up - they have last year's schedule as a placeholder in the outyears - sneaky. Took me a second to figure that out.

I'm betting it's probably too late for a powerhouse team, but then we're a powerhouse and we have an open date. So maybe there's a chance...

I'd hate to see a ULM or something like that. We have enough SOS issues as it stands.

I have absolutely no idea how accurate the attached site is, but it does list all teams.... so I looked for "less than four OOC opponents" with 9/13 open and Cincy, Indiana, Central Michigan, and Rutgers made the list.

hope it helps... or at least is directional.

W/O actually looking at dates, Cincy and Rutgers look real nice.:thumb:

    Thanks Hawker...

Do we gamble with Ray Rice at running back (assuming he's there) and not draft eligible (don't know his class/palns)?

We had a good stint of AZ and OR teams for a while. Maybe something there now or in near future, but they have definitely improved.
