Will we schedule a tough opponent for our TBA date on sept. 13?

I really hope so... that va tech win put us in the NCG this year...

with the non conf schedule we have now, there's no way we can afford to schedule another weak team :angry:

 

It's gonna be tough to do this late in the game. Most teams schedules are filled by now. Unfortunately, we're gonna have to settle for who ever is left.

it depends on what "tough" is.

I can see a mountain west opponent in that slot or a MAC team, but not a major school.

 

I know many have voiced that they are against it, but if we have to grab a lowly team for a schedule filler and pay them $$$$$ just to show up and lose, then it should be a louisiana team and maybe it should be southern.

That said, id still like to see us schedule a tough nonconf.

 

i doubt highly it will be a D-II team.

Yeah but the VT game was scheduled probably 6-7+ years ago...
I'm hoping we get some mid-major that ends up with a winning record or hopefully a bowl game.

Louisiana school maybe, but no way in hell should it be Southern. Not because I don't want Southern to get a shot to play us, but it's SOS suicide. The team we schedule really needs to be D-1A.
