This has been a TERRIBLE 8 days.

Friday morning before the R-Kansas game I was asked if Miles was going to stay or go to UM. I felt like he was leaving even then, but it all depended on how long we kept winning. I said, "If we win today and stay in the running for the NC, you won't hear much about it. But if we lose, it may all start to unravel."

This is one time that I wish I was wrong.

How can we possibly pull of a "W" today???

Thanks again to everyone for sticking it to us!!!

Wow, so much doom and gloom. Sounds like xmas '04.

We'll be fine. We might end up with a better coach than we have now. I'm not really worried, but it would be nice to get a coach to stay here for a few years.

The worst case I see is that this drags on until after the bowl game and then Miles leaves. Even in that case, we will still have a TON of talent here with a state that has a TON of talent. Good coaches are out there much like Miles was last time. They will be beating down the doors to get here.

Our recruiting class may suffer this year, but that just means that next year will be an awesome recruiting year. The coach will have a season under his belt and will be able to point to the lack of young talent (we will have plenty of old talent and a 10+ win season) due to a down year in recruiting the last year to attract new recruits. Nothing brings in the talented recruits like a elite winning program with promises of playing time.

I agree that we are in the best stretch of LSU football ever. Even these coaches leaving will not quiet the Monster that Saban awoke. Even Saban doing his best to sabotage us won't do it. We can act like Bama fans right now because we are actually in a situation of dominance. :)

Sounds like Miles and Pelini are gone, so be it. Thanks for 3 great seasons!

LSU has great talent in the stable, and a great schedule every year in the SEC. Who would not be interested in THAT job? As a head coach, its about as good as it gets.

Pelini didn't blitz enough this year in the KY game, and we got shredded the last two games, maybe we could do better. Maybe the talent carried the coaches.

It is possible we could come out better! Lets look on the bright side, and wait and see what happens.

Remember gloom and doomer RAMAH was dead wrong about Miles going 7-4 and us going to the Independence Bowl every year.

It's not like we haven't seen this coming for quite some time, for both Miles and Pelini. Thanks for the past few years, but out with the old and in with the new whomever that may be.

I personally think we come out of this even stronger.
