Just wondering what everyone here thinks. Miles has an extensive coaching history, some of which has been in the NFL. There is always the possibility that at the end of the year he could be offered a nfl coaching job. If he is offered one, do you think he would take it? How would this affect the LSU football program if he were to leave us unexpectedly? I am just concerned that the same thing can happen all over again and that next year at this time we might have Tim Walsh as our head coach and go through more early season growing pains. After all, we know LSU will run the table this year and only have this one loss. Thoughts? --------- EDIT: My response later in this thread:
:dis: Lay off the crack..... Miles will not leave LSU.....nor will anyone make him an offer unless he can fix the mess that he is in. Until then, stay drug free! :hihi:
There is absolutely no chance Coach Miles will leave LSU at least for the forseeable future. My feeling is he is not interested in returning to the NFL and is happy with coaching at the college level.
If he was offered the Michigan job, see ya later LSU and you bunch of spoiled rotten Tiger fans. :hihi:
Miles will either Become eminently successful and stay at LSU Become eminently successful and move to another college job Be forcibly removed, savor the receipts of his buyout, and join the staff at FAU. The NFL won't touch him if he fails at LSU. His upside will be gone.
I hope to God he's coaching in the NFL next year....... or maybe coach O can hire Less to become the new ocoord @ ole miss.......
This is not a dumb question if you rephrase it to say "in the next four or five years" and not "after this year." I know everyone is down on Miles right now, but I'm one of the few that is actually still giving Miles a chance...
