Seems to me like Johnson could really screw up the chances O has to get Colorado. Small Government, Social tolerance, legalization of herb. Sounds nice doesn't it.
If O loses Colorado it will be because of Johnson, and primarily because of his stance on Marijuana legalization. Colorado is a medical marijuana state and O hasn't exactly been a supporter of the medical marijuana movement, much to my own chagrin. O could have locked up more votes by leaving the dispensaries alone.
You understate Obama's position on weed. He flat out lied. He said his administration would not prosecute medicinal marijuana, and in reality they have stepped up prosecution.

If Obama loses Colorado I'm not sure it will be due to Johnson...but it definitely won't be Obama's fault. If he loses any state it will be due to ignorance, racism, voter fraud, Hurrican Sandy, George Bush, or one of a million other excuses...uh...reasons. Regardless it will DEFINITELY NOT be Obama's fault. Guaranteed! I'm Barack Obama and I approve of this message.
