Even Maher said he understands why this pisses people off so much. There was one guy on there that said he gets government assistance because he is a convicted felon and can't get a job anywhere, and although my belief in government assistance is rapidly dwindling by the minute, he has a point. It is very, very hard for anyone with a felony to get work, even for peanuts.

do you employ any standard whatsoever with regards to what information you believe or have respect for? is it enough for you that someone bothered to type some words? it seems like forwarded emails are not a source you should use to gather info on any topic.

Not necessarily true. One of the leading birfers is Phil Berg, a Pennsylvania Democrat.

As far as the OP, the passport theory was debunked three years ago. There never was a travel ban, just a warning that it might be dangerous. And if even Ogump really did take aid money intended for foreign students, it doesn't prove he's ineligible. It could mean he committed fraud, which would be embarrassing but the statute of limitations has long expired.

I have been getting email since before AOL's unlimited dialup for $19.95. I have yet to see one with much truth in it. I am still amazed that people still forward this stuff. When I get them, I usually "reply all" with an explanation along with some type of evidence debunking the email and a short reply that basically calls out the person who sent it.

I don't get very many of these anymore...

Well, I do like reading your posts so...

But I get what you're saying and you're right. I'm honest so my first inclination most often tends to be wanting to believe what others say/write.

I beg to differ. I've received many "forwarded" emails with legit information. Most recently some in regard to Jindal's legislation proposals.
