I dunno and hope that he’s a minority interview. would seem more likely that the UK OC would be the target as he came from there… we need hankton for nola recruiting…

Beating Alabama doesn't always save your job. Malzhan beat Saban three times - more than any other coach in the country - and was still quickly shown the door. Hugh Freeze also beat Saban twice while at Ole Miss, but he screwed himself out of that job. I think beating Saban definitely earns Jimbo some points, but paying him a guaranteed $75 million dollars over 10 years carries more weight in my opinion. I wouldn't be surprised to see Jimbo fired in the next couple of years and get paid the remainder of his contract because A&M is by far the wealthiest school in the SEC and can afford a financial blow like that. A&M fans now see how well they can recruit (or pay) with NIL in place and that having a coach like Jimbo, whose shown he can't consistently compete for a NC year after year, is very easy to replace, regardless of the money it will cost them. As an LSU fan, maybe Weigman will hit the transfer portal after he sees the train wreck in the QB room and drive on over to LSU for the remainder of his eligibility! Arch who?

What's the temperature of his seat if he follows this past season with another three or four losses on the season? I'd say hot and a lot of that will come from fans/boosters expectations on this years class—as you've mentioned—actually making a difference this fall. I don't think that's realistic. The fall of '23? It's my opinion that is his make or break year.

I don't have first hand account here but have heard from several that Kiffin isn't highly thought of by the Manning's. To me that makes Arch to Ole Miss a non sequitur.

On a related note have you guys seen Imaleava out of CA? He hasn't had the publicity of Arch; understandably so. To me he looks every bit as good as Arch and when I consider his mobility he may be a better prospect in the end. I know Tennessee is after him which I find telling considering Arch isn't considering UT at the moment.

Florida coming in lately for Arch is a story I find compelling. Napier is a heck of a recruiter and appears to have the traits of a guy who can run that program successfully.

I think he goes to UGA. 50/50 chance of winning a Natty there, just depends on how well they can keep it going. Its tough to win a Natty, so I'll say no he won't win one

You mean bubble screen to the right and bubble screen to the left then send everyone on a long route and watch him run for his life while the route develops. Jimbo used to drive me crazy with that when he was here, saving grace was we had a running game and Nick to keep it balanced.

I voted yes for Arch only because we don't know where he will land. A good team around him then yes, one trick pony coach then no.

Matt Luke was his primary recruiter at UGA. Luke's Ole Miss ties played a large part in Arch's interest. He announced today he's leaving the UGA program.

I did not see that. Adds some plot twist. Wondering how long it will take Luke to end up as a special advisor on LSU's staff. lol
