Will a Tiger Band member's ID work to let someone into the football games?

Hi. My husband and I want to get season tickets for 2009, but there will probably not be spouse tickets available and he is not a student. I am. So in order to get around that, we planned to have someone purchase tickets for us and use their id. Well, the person who agreed to purchase our tickets needs his id on Saturdays for something else. The only other person we could think of to borrow an id from is in Tiger Band. We were told that members of Tiger Band could not purchase tickets, but will their id's work at the gate? Does anyone know for sure?

 

Let me get this straight. Are you trying to do something illegal???

 

If your friend in the band doesn't need his ID for anything that day, then i would imagine that it would work. But if he swipes his ID earlier that day for something to do with the band, it probably won't.

They did change the rule back last year, so the ID name does not need to match the ticket name. Just dont give the ticket taker any reason to look at the ID and check it to your face.

 

That and a hall pass oughta do. :thumb:

 

Tiger Band IDs are flagged and do not work. I was with someone who tried it last year. They took the ID and sent him out of the stadium ticket-less.

I do not believe that the band ID will gain you access to the stadium thru a ticket gate. I am not a Ticket Taker, but I do play as a marshal at the "Press Will Call" gate for home games. Don't try my gate unless you have press cred.:lol: It is my humble opinion that unless you are a band member in uniform and performing you will not be able to gain access thru top notch security systems that LSU has in place.

 

I was still in high school at the time Pete Maravich was playing for LSU. At that time students only needed to show their ID at the gate to get in. There was always a big crowd of students massed up at the student gate of the ag center. I put my rivers license in an old wallet behind a clouded window and would just flash it at the ticket taker. It never failed

 

Remember all the pigeon crap on the seats in that dump?

Always did like the windows at the top for day games.

Seeing the Pistol in his prime was well worth it.

You didn't really even care in some ways if LSU! won or not.

You just wanted to see Pete do sumthin' that would blow your mind so you had a story to tell all your friends who WEREN'T there...
