Right, because he won all those big games. What was his bowl record again? He may have had a "winning record" as the starting quarterback, but I don't think that necessarily equates to being a winner when it counts.

#72 Robert Hughes committed to nd and he's got a 2.5 GPA and a 17 on the ACT so we know those are at least minimal qualifying numbers for your irish. In addition, the 93rd recruit Akeem Ayers got into utla so he must have been a qualifier.

The #1 recruit Everson Griffin reported a 3.3 GPA and a 1020 SAT
The #2 recruit Joe McKnight reported a 2.7 GPA and an 18 ACT
The #6 recruit Marc Tyler (offered by nd) reported a 2.5 and a 17

-Chris Gallipo (from Servite) had Charlie salivating and he chose USC.
-Tolliver reported a 3.0 GPA, Jones reported a 24 ACT, and Barksdale reported a 3.5 GPA and 22 ACT and they ALL chose LSU and some in a head to head with nd.
-Benn and Wilson were also qualifiers but chose Illinois in head to heads with nd.

How can you claim academics when all the above players could have qualified, some were offered by nd, and yet none of them chose nd? For whatever reasons, the irish lost the recruiting battle and don't pull a BQ and start whining about unfair tactics by other coaches. Everyone knows that CW is right in the middle of that game. Oh, and of all those players above, Chris Gallipo is the only white guy.

Superb research! I was getting tired of hearing Bitter bitch and moan about the academic superiority at Notre Dame. I would imagine that ND has a University College a lot like Tulane and other "prestigious" universities do so that some rich-kid-slacker can still get, for instance, a "Tulane education." That works in more than one way as well. It allows the institution to rake in money from rich alumni with slacker kids, and it allows athletes who have not met the more stringent university requirements to play for said school.

Where is Bitter?

Looks like NFL teams are seeing the same view of BQ as we were. I said it would be hard for Cleveland to take BQ because of value concerns and past woes when selecting QBs high. Now the Dolphins pass on him for Ginn. Huge surprise. But you should of seen BQ face. He took ot alright when the Browns passed him up but you could tell it was eating him up inside when Miami did also.:hihi:

The anti-ND media has taken a lot of potshots at Quinn before the draft. The truth is he is the most NFL ready QB and will be able to contribute immediately. Quinn will be a winner in the NFL, just like he was at ND.

All the NFL scouts say he needs schooling. I didn't know they meant from the sixth grade. But, it's still the first round. :lol:

BTW-------no NFL teams play Army, Navy, and Air Force. Ya'll need to be thankful that the Marines don't have a team.:rofl: :rofl:
