When you've had sunshine pumped your rear for the last 8 years there's no other way to look at it I suppose.

Very funny! I don't know about 8 years but for the last 2 years for sure Charlie has been telling BQ that his exposure to a pro-style offense and defense along with the mentoring/coaching he's received from Charlie would put him in the elite of college QB's and into the NFL.

It is strange in a way that with the likes of Joe Montana, Joe Theisman, John Huard, and Steve Beurlein that BQ could break all those records and still be........average.

Oh, I've been monitoring the glee LSU and USC fans had about what happened to Brady Quinn. Of course, SC fans must be used to this since the same thing has happened to SC players in the past two years, where they've dropped further from where they were projected.

I would have responded earlier but I was busy with the ND forums and wanted to participate in all those threads before they were lost forever in the ether.

I don't understand why LSU fans were so happy that JR got drafted first by the Oakland Raiders, into that black hole. The Raiders have never had much success with drafting and developing QBs, as we all remember with their last high pick on a QB- that doped up QB, Todd Maronovich, who now surfs in the buff. Instead, the Raiders most succesful QBs have been the ones they've picked up as free agents.

If Lane Kiffin is serious about implementing a West Coast Offense, then JR seems ill fitted for that role. Instead, JR seems most effective when the O line gives him plenty of protection and he steps back and just throws the long ball for his WRs to wrangle down. But, Randy Moss would have been the WR for that role and the Raiders traded him to New England for a fourth round pick. And, if the Raiders are finally going to catch up with the rest of the lleague and use a West Coast Offense, why didn't they pick up Matt Leinart last year when they had the chance. Plus, the Raiders still didn't address their O line problems through the draft and that's still going to be a problem. JR is going to realize how hard it will be when there's constant pressure, and the O line gives him no protection. He'll understand what BQ had to deal with at ND.

It would have been better for JR's career if he had fallen in the draft to another team.

It's called recruiting. Were happy for the same reason Clausen is kicking himself for signing with ND while Crist is rethinking his verbal.

This proves you don't know a lick about JR. He can throw the ball like none other. From his back foot across his body if he needs to. Pressure will only delay the inevitable. LSU's O-Line was awful to start the year. Do you need some more youtube highlights?

Last time I checked people have careers to make money. So you are wrong again.

Of course, if it would have been the opposite way around and His boy Brady would have been selected first (if pigs had flown ha) he would have totally changed his angle on all this of course and been pointing out how the raiders made a bunch of good moves to be ready for the saeson.
