    1. Results were far from mediocre.
    2. 2002 would have been much better had Mauck not gone down.
    3. Bama gets an automatic boost in the polls because of its name. 9-3 gets Bama in the top 10 instead of #16.

He took over the shambles left by that idiot Dinardo.

We won our first ever SEC Championship (via the SEC CG) the 2nd year he was here and a national championship 2 short years later. Would have ended his last season in 2004 with a very nice 10-2 record and a top 8 final poll position if it wasn't for a brain cramp vs Iowa in the bowl game.

If that's not success, I don't know what is.

I agree about #2. Who knows how far that team goes with Mauck at QB the entire season. Probably a BCS bowl game at a minimum.

#3 could be said about LSU as well. We are almost always the highest ranked 1 loss team, 2 loss team, 3 loss team, etc.

Don't forget the SEC East was alot better when Saban was at LSU, not to mention not having the annual gift that is Alabama's schedule.

Tell TAF to donate money to get roadwork around LSU. Otherwise, contraflow is the best you can hope for.

Miles gets a lot of criticism.

If Miles had Saban's LSU record he would have been run out of town.

Contraflow would be a nice start. Why hasn't that been tried?

Oh, they do it now, but they screwed it up beyond all belief. If you live in Mid-City (like me), you're screwed if you park on the southern half of campus. You've got to go halfway across town and then circle back once you get past all the road blocks. They set it up like a damn hurricane evacuation and pretty much force you all the way out to the suburbs. It's a failure of the highest order because traffic is now worse than it used to be.
