    You heard of recruiting?

It's the act of kissing a player's ass in order to get them to commit to your school.

You have only the kid's story on this. I'll bet you that there is a backstory that sounds a whole lot different. Johnson is forbidden from commenting on recruits. Some of them are head cases.

To say Trent went to only one game in BR is a lie but it is still very concerning that we would have the top player making any sort of negative comments about our head coach.

Lots of players are prima donnas. The best ones often are. Without high-caliber players we'll be lucky to touch Vandy or State, much less compete with Florida and Kentucky, on a yearly basis. There is a ceiling for what you can accomplish recruiting kids from prep schools.

This kid definitely sounds like a primma donna and based upon his recruiting history, I wouldn't be so sure that he sticks with his committment to Baylor. I also question his motives and timing behind making these comments. Sounds like the immaturity of 17 year old kid. I would also challenge anyone to give us an example of how Trent has been "lazy" in his recruitment of players.

Let's look at the facts: Trent took over a program that was stacked with Seniors and he took that group to the second round of the NCAA where we lost to the eventual national champs, UNC. After that season, Trent had absolutely nothing to work with and he had to run off a few players who had attitude problems. Couple this with that fact that our basketball facilities were in shambles, especially compared to the football facilities, and it doesn't take a Philadelphia lawyer to see that we had some rebuilding to do. Take a look at the facilities at KY or UNC and you will see what we are recruiting against.

This is actually year three of the rebuilding effort and he has produced a team that still has a shot at the tournament. This was never going to be a quick fix. Hang in there, guys....it's going to get better.

Maybe we should let Nikki Caldwell coach the men's team. She would have no problem attracting recruits to campus.

That's the thing about tent Johnson I believe he's actually a great coach he simply is not a good recruiter he hasn't had the talent to compete since he's dirt year here I do think it's time we bring in someone who can recruit and keep our Louisiana talent in state , even Brady could do that...

I hear what you're saying. But Trent isn't recruiting in his old stomping grounds out west anymore. He has to find a way to attract top Louisiana talent to LSU, and that has not happened. This is his 4th year, he has the assistants he wants, and is recruiting the players he wants. He has an AD who stuck his neck out for him on a contract extension through 2015 and a brand new practice facility. There are no more excuses, and frankly, my patience for them is running thin.
