This article perfectly sums up most of what is so good about Miles and what makes him a really really good coach. It's the other half of the story of why Miles makes so many want to stick a gun in their mouth. He's sooooo damn good at so many things important to building a championship program and such a good guy that it drives fans crazy when he is sooooo bad at the couple of things that completely hog tie the program and kill it's chances of winning championships. If he would just let a quality OC have COMPLETE control of the offense! http://sports.yahoo.com/news/les-mi...pite-efforts-to-fire-him-230709451-ncaaf.html
I want us to return to the high level of offensive and defensive line recruiting which will allow us to maintain a pro-style offense. If you can block people up front and execute in the passing game, it keeps your defense off the field which is key to defending the spread.
Mike Farrell said. "LSU is the only game in town in Louisiana and even with a coach on life support, they are reeling in top prospect after top prospect in state." This must piss off every usl fan
LSU fans aren't pissed off about great recuiting, they're pissed off that with great recruiting LSU still isn't able to field a coherent respectable offense. Usually coaches are either good, mediocre or bad. It's extremely rare that you find a coach that is great at so many things but absolutely abysmal at others. Add to that the fact that Miles is such a good likable guy and it's even more frustrating. Almost everyone likes him and is rooting for him, but he keeps tripping over his own dick! Just give the keys to the offense to someone with a clue and climb in the back seat and go to sleep.
well if nothing else, the shakeup was needed even if not the intent. chavis and steele are goners with aranda taking over. needed some fresh blood. maybe this sparked change in the offense. if so i may have to change my prediction to at least 3-9.
Hearing of whispers about Maty Mauk tranfer. Haven't read it anywhere credible. Just more wishful thinking I suppose.
