Paying Ryan Zimmerman a 6 year extension for $100 million is laughable. I like Zimmerman, he's a nice player. But that's about it. He was injured last season and had only 49 RBIs and 12 homers. Not quite a player you want to extend a contract on and make him one of the highest paid players in baseball. A .288 career BA, .355 OBP, .479 SLG does not scream superstar, or even star. They had it right the first time when they signed him to a 5 year deal for $45 million.
