TD has so much traffic...and if you can pick thru the BS...a lot of the posters are knowledgeable and informed. Problem is, they make up about .001% of the posters there.
i think you're thinking of the brown eye. any way to answer the original question, it's because we are cooler than everyone else. we're the fun guy at the party and you only hate the fun guy if you aren't friends with him or you're jealous. most are jealous.
There's this arrogant unwillingness to give credit to LSU in some circles that, IMO, is akin to bigotry. It lives in Tuscaloosa, at Tulane, and certainly in the PAC-10. Southern land grant University coached by a coarse, uneloquent boob who wears his hats like an adult and doesn't smoke the press' cigars. Then there's plain fear and jealousy.

i really don't understand the hate either. and let's be honest, LSU has been good this decade, but there are teams that have been more consistent, if not better. USC, UF, those are the teams people should be hating on. i know we have two BCS titles in the last decade, but we're not even in a huge media market or even get that much coverage. this has caused a chip-on-the-shoulder-mentality amongst LSU fans which is probably where the "dislike" comes from. plus the fact that we are so much more intense about our team. factor that with the lack of coverage or respect and the fact that LSU tends to underachieve in the years we don't win championships. man, there are lots of factors for the hate. i just dont get it either.
It is pretty simple, we are one of the top teams of this decade, our uniforms are one of the most recognizable on tv, our stadium is the shyt, our fans are the shyt, our coach is the shyt, and we have the BADDEST TIGER IN THE LAND MIKE VI. No reason to hate, ya think.
