Why do so many people get so emotional over issues that aren't even issues? Dozens of posters get all hot, bothered, and self-righteous about the "negativity" on this board. Fact is, the Tigers will not compete for an SEC title this year because they cannot run the football, cannot convert on third down, and cannot get a consistent passrush on D. LSU will be lucky to finish 4-4 in the SEC. I'm predicting 3-5. The two best coaches in the SEC are Meyer and Saban. It is no coincidence that the Gators and Tide are far-and-away the best two teams in the conference two years running. I'm done posting for awhile. I'll get back with y'all again at the end of the year, when the Tigers play in another Peach Bowl.:helmet:
Its just the opposite, I wasn't emotional at all when I made my thread about negativity on this board. Really, what i was surprised about and why I made my thread were those calling for Miles head while the season isn't over yet. The Sky is falling for some. LSU is 4-0 and yet people are in panic mode like they are just the opposite. Let the season play out before jumping to conclusions. If your assumptions are correct the coaches will be held accountable. If you like Alabama and Florida I suggest you root for them and not LSU. I wouldn't take Nick Saban back if he could make our team like Bama or LSU during his era. Some of his LSU teams weren't as good as LSU in 07 btw. Some of you forget JR's first year, that team almost lost to Oregon St and Troy. Say what you want about NS and Bama, you would've cried as soon as we lost to Hawaii or whoever it was Bama lost to in their bowl game last year. If memory serves me correctly, Nick Saban lost just as many bowl games if not more than he won, Michigan St, while at LSU and Alabama also. Don't get me started on Urban Cryer, the dude could be a politician, Nick also.
I'm not about to throw in the towel yet but I do wish, if Saban is THAT great, he could have kept us "far-and-away" from the rest of the conference every year he was our coach cause he surely didn't. I also don't mind not losing to OOC opponents, especially those minor programs.
saban is a helluva coach, so is meyer. most rational folks around here thought 10-2 or 9-3 this year with next year being the mnc run. i wouldn't be surprised if we lost to bama, fla, ga or ole miss and sure wouldn't be surprised if we won 'em either. we need to improve in all 3 phases of the gane and do it in a hurry but as for now we're 4-0.
I don't see a 2 loss season or better unless we clean some parts of our game up and quickly. I could see a 3-4 loss season. Obviously UFs ultimate success in 2 weeks will depend on Tebows condition, although he's no run threat his back up is a good passer. Still no easy game. We could lose to Bama and Ole Piss and Arkansas if we show up making the same mistakes we have for 4 weeks now, those three games can go either way imo. But UGA, I think is alot like MSU with a better passing QB. I think MSU's defense is along the same lines as theirs. If we keep throwing we'll put points on the board. UGA should be a win for us.
