That's interesting, I didn't know Fournette was even considering UT. Can't say I blame him, the trim in Austin is unlike anywhere in the United States, save maybe Houston and San Antonio.

This looks to be the last game at UT for a few coaches with some LSU and La ties. Major Applewhite(Played at Catholic High in BTR), Bo Davis (Played at LSU and was on the S&C Staff), Stacy Searels (Ol coach at LSU for a time) and Larry Porter (Former RB coach at LSU).

All should find jobs. Also on the staff is Oscar Giles, he was up at SMU with former LSU DC Phil Bennett when Phil was the HC.

I think Dad is right about Jimbo. And I believe Jimbo relishes following in Bobby's footsteps and continuing the FSU legacy. I believe he also loves the in state recruiting battles with UF & UM as well battling the best teams in the SEC for recruits while not having to battle them on the field.

I think he would do well at UT but would be somewhat shocked if he went there.

Jimbo has been reunited with Rick Trickett his OL Coach, they worked together at Auburn and LSU.

His S&C Coach trained under Tommy Moffitt. Vic Viloria, played high School Football at John Curtis, played at USC under former LSU DC Phil Bennett.

Jimbo is sitting in a great spot now.

Jimmy Sexton and the fact that Bama would rather take the risk of Saban leaving than not give him everything he wants. Simply put if the Gumps didn't give S&S exactly what they want, there will be an even better offer come from somewhere else faster than they can say, "I thought he loved us".

I agree I think throwing out Jimbo's name is simply a smokescreen. I was also seeing some talking about vandys HC. I am no fan of UT but damn that is still a big name coaching job. Shouldn't the search for a HC be much more robust?

Or maybe the search is done, they just have to wait until he finishes playing his bowl game and then he has to renege on his extension (just like he did with us).

An aside wouldn't it be something for little nicky to loose to OU in the last second then a couple days after the sugar bowl say "thanks but I'm going to UT".
