Because MY answer is in regards to the actual thread question. I don't know why Ensminger isn't considered. But I have an idea why Billy G isn't.

Everyone is still stuck in the mode of "Stud should be out the door with Crowton", but they must not follow the team very closely. Since stud has arrived, LSU has had 3 1000+ yd rushers. The OL had a really bad year, followed by improvement and more improvement...but damn the facts...let's go back to that bad year the OL had under his watch.

I've been a helluva lot more impressed with the OL than the WRs since McCarthy left. Hell, Billy G is the friggin "passing game coordinator"! How's that been working out? 111th passing team in the country...let's promote him. :dis:

When everyone in the stadium knows you're gonna run and whos getting the ball, then you get the first down or TD........

Remember in the very first play last year, the starting OG goes down.

And the OL still had a good year. Blackwell was a tremendous addition in the Cotton Bowl, and he's should have an outstanding year this season. Looking forward to having a good, veteran OL.

Of all the OLinemen last year, he was one that most were looking at, as to have the best year. A good Sr. year and a chance with the Pro's will do him well. Best of luck to him........:tigereye:

Les and his coaching staff have known about this for two weeks. Les is in a far better position to evaluate his assistants and assign responsibilities than posters on a message board. I'm comfortable with the decisions that have been made. If it doesn't produce the results that Les expects then I expect him to react accordingly and make changes. That's what he's being paid 3 1/2 million dollars a year to do.

I dunno, many here were screaming to can Crowton WAY before Miles did and not many liked the two-headed DC's, among others. Don't discount message board posters' opinions.

And nice to see ya bro heem!

Good & valid points. I was also critical of Les because I thought he kept Crowton too long. But I tried to temper my criticism with the fact that he was in a far better position than I to make those decisions.

And I don't discount message board posters' opinions. Hell, yours and mine are brilliant. :D

amen sir. I wasn't impressed with our passing games co last year at all. CUM was a damn smart coach, like him or not, so I'm sure there was a reason Billy wasn't promoted at florida. Billy g hasn't impressed with his running our passing game and I don't have enough faith in him to run the entire offense.
