as i've posted elsewhere ... uh, hellerrrrr ... bringing in a new OC does no good. When was the last time we had a good offense? Yes, before 2005. What did Jimbo's offenses look like under miles ... how do they look now? Same for crowton. there is only one common denominator here.

now i don't think miles needs to go. but, his WANT to be bland, run up gut, have no creativity is perpetually painful. i hate watching LSU games now. he needs to stay out of offense.

CLM has the potential to be a great coach .. but like another thread said .. he just needs to get out of his own way.

I don't want to fire CLM .. I want to see LSU develop an offense. Our "stellar run game" even looked pathetic today ... probably because that's about all we do. Not that we can't do more .. as we showed we can do plenty in the first series ... but after that, we went back to the old play book.. and it didn't work well.

Wrong, it isn't just one game. It has been four maybe five years of games. The offense has looked the same week in and week out. Doing just enough to get by and putting it all on the D. It finally bit us in the ass, well if you don't count the NCG when it REALLY bit us in the ass. We have looked exactly the same since the day JBF walked out the door. Oh and why is it he walked? I'm guessing its because someone with more rank wanted a bigger piece of the play calling.

You miles lovers can slice it and dice it any way you want to. You can say he wins, you can say he is a good recruiter, you can say he runs a clean program, blah blah blah bah phucking blah. He has his Bo Schembechler bullshit all over this team and it is killing us. It is time for this hydrocephalic mother scratcher to hit the bricks.

Agreed about CLM. I really like him and you can't argue with his record. What doesn't make sense to me is why he is stubborn with the offense. I know he wants to win championships and what LSU is doing right now on offense ís not going to cut it. In regards to today, the first drive looked promising; the subsequent possessions if I remember correctly all started deep in our own territory and going conservative was probably the right choice at that point. The problems on the OL is the key here, though. If the OL is not so banged up, it is likely that even the conservative play calling would have resulted in longer drives.

Nobody fires a coach with a 81% winning record. Get real.

That is quite true, how could you get a coach to come here when they find out you fired a coach with a winning percentage like that. I don't support nor would I ever that kinda idea.

LSU Offensive Coaching staff reminds me of the Obama administration ... no game plan, no clue how to fix it, no leadership, and when it is all said and done, they'll still be around, just like the LSU OC's. it's only wishful thinking that either will be replaced :)

sorry, just couldn't help it with the Romney ads on here ;)

Look, you are a loyal fan, and I respect your insight. But, it IS just one game, as far as losing goes. No matter how you slice it, he won 18 straight regular season games. I agree with you, it is mainly b/c of D and STs, but it is still 18 straight. Problem is, the offense sucks and it is catching up to them. I agree with this. Doesn't mean CLM needs to go. As LaSalle eluded to, pressure has effected change in the past, and CLM needs to change the offense. I agree with the criticisms about the offense. He needs to have new, devoted OC and O-line coaches, bottom line. I still think CGC sucked, and am glad he is gone, but CLM clearly has his fingerprints on this offense. And, we suck. But, you don't throw it all away. LSU's success over the last 7 years is unparalleled... not 7 games, not 7 SEC games, not 7 months, but 7 years of phenomenal success. Offense aside, they still win. Now it's time to have an offense that matches the phenomenal D and STs.

We need a running quarterback for this offense. Sad but true.
