So if he flops in San Fran, think UoO would try and get him back?

Because hes in the NFL. I doubt we would be able to pull a head coach from ANY NFL Team.

Listening today and apparently Mike Bellotti says Chip would most certainly listen if Texas wanted to talk.

    Hmm

That would be an interesting relationship. He'd put some points on the board for sure, but his defenses just seem lacking to me. I guess it'd be a perfect Big12 recipe.

This whole issue is a moot point anyway. Barring a miracle that I doubt he can pull off, Strong is gone at UT and Herman will be the next HC of that program.
It is also being said that there's a strong possibility that former WV AD Oliver Luck becomes the next UT AD which would help bring Herman to TX. Guess we'll get to see what could've been.

I'm taking the other side. Herman doesn't take the Texas job. No one to date has produced any evidence to support this "dream job" nonsense

Every head coach's dream job is the one that pays the most. Texas will pay more than LSU. I really hope we get him, but I fear the timing is bad and I know our administration is incompetent.

Alleva has gone on record saying this coaching search is his decision and his alone, so barring a miracle, at least we'll be rid of him. You know he'll fuck this up.
