I'd take Dooley from LaTech/TN or Petersen of Boise State

Well let's see. Gene Chizik jumped from Iowa State to Auburn two years ago and look what happened. Was he a 'quality' coach?

Auburn, with the guy that most likely will win the Heisman this year, just barely squeaked by clueless, ignoramus Les Miles' team while racking up over 300 yards rushing.

The fact that you and other Miles bashers tend to bring up the "no LSU blowouts" argument as proof that Miles is clueless actually shows a lot about you guys.

First, it shows a huge lack of maturity. Winning is not good enough for you. You need for the team you pull for to win in such a way that it equalizes out your apparent lack of self esteem and provides validation for you. You want the opportunity to be a prick to the fans of opposing teams and that need is not being fulfilled by LSU

Second, running up the score shows a complete lack of sportsmanship, which is a concept that seems to be lost on a large segment of the LSU fan base. Sportsmanship is the equivalent of ethics on the field. When Auburn had 1st and goal and had the opportunity to run up the score, they did the honorable thing and took a knee. This is because Auburn, like Miles' LSU team, is a class act.

Third, the fact that we have not run up the score against any teams shows that we have not played a bunch of patsies. Nebraska, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Boise State, all pad their schedules with teams like Western Kentucky, which has not won a game since 2008. To me, this kind of scheduling is BS. LSU got a lot of flack not very long ago for scheduling The Citadel. I am glad that we can point to our schedule with pride and say that we playd quality teams.

Florida was ranked in the top 15 when we beat them.

We must be watching different games. I saw tremendous improvement in the way Jefferson played yesterday than the way he played the week before. The Auburn game had almost zero dumb penalties by LSU. Are we perfect? Hell no, but I think you're mistaking the role that game planning for each individual opponent drives what plays LSU calls in games.

Amazing. When Saban left, the people that bash Miles now started out of the gate complaining about the hire because LSU "reached down" to lowly Oklahoma State (a program that was nothing before Miles arrived there and is now ranked in the top 20 and is considered a quality program) to hire a coach that was not in the top tier of Division I coaches.

Now y'all are all arguing that we hire a one-dimensional certifiable crackpot of a coach that lost his job because he allegedly endangered a player's health who was suffering from a concussion. We can argue about the specific circumstances of Leach's firing (and I personally think he got screwed) but you have to ask yourself what message this type of hire would be that LSU would be sending, what hit LSU's "brand" would take in the PR arena, and what effect this kind of hire would do to recruiting if parents started thinking that their son's well-being might be a concern with Leach at the wheel.

We beat a good team that is coached by an excellent recruiter and national championship coach. UNC has a lot of talent. Miami is a quality program with a ton of talent. Each game has a different life of its own, you can't compare apples and oranges.

Awe boo hoo...we didn't win by enough to validate your inner prick self and allow you to pump your chest because your identity to a sports team is all you've got.

A win is a win. Please explain why you feel a burning need for your team to humiliate opponents.

Florida is an SEC powerhouse and this win is nothing to sneeze at. All SEC teams cycle through feast or famine years. Florida's season this year is a lot like their season in 2007 when Florida went 9-4 and lost 3 games in the SEC a year after winning the BCS Championship.

Florida has talent and maybe - just maybe - Mississippi State (a team LSU beat by 22 points - apparently not enough for you) is a team that is a lot better than you can give them credit for because you've boxed yourself in with the assertion that LSU has not had any quality wins. You absolutely can not concede that Mississippi State is a quality team as that would make some of your arguments crumble.

Is that the same Mississippi State that beat Georgia and upset Florida in the Swamp? The same one that LSU beat by over 3 touchdowns?

Being popular and being right are 2 completely different things.

The need to be popular is another signal that you need to be validated by others instead of by your inner convictions.

Please tell us about who you are and why you would have inside info high up within the school.

We see these types of "insider info" claims that almost always turn out to be absolute BS, so until you can give some credence to your source, the rest of the posters here will mark you as an untrusted source.

Whose your person "very high w/in the school"?

I don't like Miles, never have - But. I Can't argue with his record, even this year is better than I thought it would be. He Makes a ton of mistakes, & he don't seem to be able to recruit a quarterback. But he don't get us on probation, & is a great recruiter so I guess we are stuck with him. So, I'm gonna pull for LSU & hope Miles gets better. Lots of tough games left this season, lets see how it goes.. then bitch if its warranted.. tough loss yesterday but we were in it & that means a lot..

I noticed this as well. On every long gainer by Newton or other backs, their receivers were blocking extremely well downfield. That's something we don't see our receivers do very well at times. :geaux:

The backers can say what they want. Fact is LSU is stuck with this medicore coaching for a few years. Yes his record overall is very good. Fact is though LSU has fallen from the elite. We dont beat the top teams, yet have top talent. Im tired of the QB excuses. You still have to go down the damn field. If you hell bent in running the option, why not try using Shepard? At least he has Robinson like talent.

Overall LSU has been outcoached in most games for three years. We dont see the adjustments we see in other staffs. Miles has lost his magic here at LSU. We need fresh air and so does he. The players looked lost yesterday and all season. No focus or discipline, just like their coach. I know some will say how do you know Miles lacks focus. Just look at his clock management. Nuff said, thats all focus.

Ill always love my Tigers but my expectations will be drastically lowered. LSU has returned to a middle tier SEC team. I cant wait until Dumber and Dumber take their acts elsewhere.
