winning a national championship and having a huge buyout tends to buy you a little leeway. you think Miles is going to come out and say, "CROWTON SUCKS!!!" he still has to work with the guy for crying out loud. He isn't going to Zimmer him while he is still on the staff. Geez.
I do know what a head coach does, do you? Who was the OC in 07? Miles has made good hires if he has any flaw in that department it is loyalty. Should GC be gone, yes. Will he, only time will tell, but it will not happen during season. All i am saying is a new head coach is not our problem.
I believe Les Miles will handle this the same way he did the D Coordinator. He'll wait till the season is done, do it as quietly and with as much class as such a delicate situation can be handled. Patience, Grass Hopper. :geaux:

First of all let me say that I don't want to be associated with this clown , ThinkingDroi. But this staff seems to have a problem evaluating/landing/grooming QB talent.
Apparently Miles is paying some people off on this board...has anyone dared to look at the "great" teams LSU has squeaked by this year? Can anyone name a top 15 team that LSU has beat this year? What I see is a team that is not improving, but getting worse. As far as Mike Leach, he was at a MUCH smaller school, MUCH worse talent to work with...MUCH smaller budget...Again, I just want a coach that can manage a team, manage a clock, and put the right personnel in the game... We SHOULD have lost to NC, but the guy dropped the ball in the endzone NC just got routed by MIAMI 33-10 Vanderbilt...2-5 and got be by an average of 30 points to almost EVERY SEC team..except LSU. Barely beat WV, who just lost to Syracuse Barely beat FL who obviously sucks this year - Lost to Miss St MISS St and Kentucky played AUB better than LSU did..check the stats and score....
We had RP, the number 1 qb in the nation at the time recruited, we lost him due to his issues. Lee was a highly rated qb coming out of Brenham, Zach Lee was highly rated, we lost him, Chris Garrett was highly rated also, we just struck out on those guys, it hasn't been a great run. The quarterback position has obvioulsy been the weakest link in the last 3 seasons.
