    North Carolina early voting

    2012 white 67% black 28%

    2016 white 73% black 23 %

    North Carolina in the bag for Trump based on those numbers. Be aware Obama didn't even win North Carolina in 2012 (although it was really close).

    My latest count

    Trump wins Florida, Ohio, North Carolina, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, Iowa and New Hampshire and one delegate in Maine.

    That puts him at 270.

    Still in play

    Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Virginia, Colorado and New Mexico.

    Not so fast.
    What you need to know is that the GOP candidate for Governor, who is current Governor, is the guy that signed off on HB-2, the "Bathroom Bill." It has to be one of the most inept political moves of all time. This is opposed by EVERYONE except the far, far right wing and the 2000 year old earth crowd.

    I would not be a bit surprised if the early, white voting crowd was out there to stick it in the incumbents governor's eye, and that could well mean a lot more white Dems are voting to do just that than historically observed.

    NC governor, and NC Senate races are just pee-tee-ful.

    Tiga, I knew you had been missing me. Wife and I spent the past 10 days in Europe and I thought we would be getting away from the election coverage for a while but I think the Europeans might be just as interested in our election as we are. That said, I am afraid your new found optimism is misguided. I will make a post shortly where I will outline my prediction for the electoral college and I will follow it up Monday with any updates that I feel are necessary. This election is shaping up very much like 2012, which genuinely was the basis for my prediction at the outset.
