And of course ignorance of the law is no defense, especially for someone in such a high position that she should have known what should be classified whether it was marked classified or not. She was the fucking Secretary of State by God, not the deputy sheriff of Mayberry.

Jesus Christ NC are you that obtuse??? Bernie calls himself a socialist. Is he lying about his beliefs? Has he taken a stand in his campaign that isn't socialist? Free college(paid for by the govt) free medicine (paid for by the government. Breakup the banks, limit income, down with the rich. Every program he supports reduces private rights and power in favor of the government's. Is that what you believe??? The government knows best for all???
Name a tenet he has that calls for reduced government power, influence or control over money and ideas. That is socialism to the bone! If that is your belief then you either are a socialist or deluded. Unfortunately I believe you must be deluded as if you could vote for Kasich with those beliefs you would be betraying them as Kasich hold none of those tenets.
Call me what you like but I like Bernie. Let me remind you that the last time we had a President who was a Democratic Socialist he was elected four times and is one of the most popular President's ever to hold the office.
Actually FDR was a Democrat who called himself a democrat. He was a party regular who rose through party politics. He had 2 successful policies. The first was Social Security. The second was managing the US entry into WW2. It was the economic boon caused by the war beginning in 1939 that brought the country out of the depression not any of the statist programs. We beggared the Brits and used their riches including their total gold reserve to build our industry for our eventual entry. His social programs may have helped moral a bit but they did nothing to spur the economy.
Yes he was, is and deserves popularity as his efforts from 1938 on were crucial to our position today. As to Social Security it may be both our savior and damnation. However much it helped the first two generations on it, it may ruin those who follow us. It has made those 65+ the wealthiest and most secure in our country and is placing what may be an intolerable burden on those who follow.

Tiresome but maybe you'll eventually learn. First off were all in hypothetical land here. Each holds a belief based on limited knowledge and political beliefs. It think it's pretty clear who believes what.

The FBI can't indict so it will be up to the DOJ to act on his recommendation. If he doesn't make one to indict I will want to know why before I make any claims. However IF the FBI asks for one and the DOJ/President don't what will you say?

I'm not setting any defense up NC. It's a plain statement that history has shown before; politics has, can and will try to thwart justice remember watergate? Do you think the president or his minions wouldn't try if they think they can get away with it?

Bernie calls himself a democratic socialist.
stop putting words in my mouth, I've never said as much. What I have said, and will continue to say, is that socialism and social programs are two different things. You just referred to social security as a social program enacted by FDR. At the time, and even today, people label SS as socialism. The same can be said of Medicare and Medicaid or Social Security Disability. Bernie proposing free college is another social program. He is not advocating that the state take over universities and dictate what they teach. He isn't advocating that we nationalize our industry and resources. Universal healthcare isn't a controversial topic and is no more socialistic than Obamacare. Further, we are the only major country in the world that does not offer healthcare to it's people as a fundamental right.
This isn't socialistic, Winston. Was Teddy Roosevelt a socialist when he broke up the banks? You honestly think that we are better off with the big banks and the complete undoing of community banks?
No it's not unless you are a died in the wool fundamentalist who cannot see the forest for the trees.
I am so glad you wrote this because this goes to the bone of every discussion we've ever had. I have always insisted, to everyone's disbelief, that I am an independent. I vote for the person who I think is bet fit to lead the country based upon where we are as a country, not necessarily every little policy position. There are tenets of every candidates platform that I can find some agreement with and equally as many that I do not agree with, including Bernie and Hillary. I have said all along that I would vote for Kasich over Hillary, because I think he would make a better President. That said, I would vote for Hillary over Cruz or Trump in a NY second....and I would vote for Bernie over any of them. Increasingly, it appears my choices will be between HRC and Trump.

I have already said that if the FBI asks for an indictment then I will support their investigation and would be disappointed if the DOJ didn't follow up by calling a Grand Jury. But let me help you a little....if the FBI doesn't ask for an indictment it will not require you finding out why, Winston.....if the FBI doesn't ask for indictment it will be because she has done nothing wrong. There are no parsing of words here.....so let's lay that ground rule right now.
