Agree that MSU was fired up to be taking on the 7th ranked team in the country, I also think Dan Mullen is going to be a damn good coach and will be getting a much better gig with-in a few years.
Yep you're right. Miles should be screaming to every media outlet that will listen about how completely horrible our lines are, and how they are an unholy abomination from hell. Then he should give a press conference and level with us fans about how we should just resign ourselves to the fact that we'll be sitting at the bottom of the West every year as long as he's the HC. There, feel better? :rolleye33: Maybe you can explain the law of physics that describes how 5 lineman + an ineffective fullback is supposed to open up lanes against 7-9 defensive players who know exactly what's coming. I don't care if we have 5 All-Americans on the OL and we're playing a I-AA bottom-feeder. That matchup is simply not going to produce a lot of running yards. People also need to accept the fact that we don't have a deep D-line, and haven't really had one since Dorsey left. Injuries have also taken their toll, so don't expect all-world results from that unit either. But do us all a favor and wait to post any more chicken little garbage like this until AFTER we get blown out by UGA and UF in consecutive weeks like you all think is going to happen.

He should also be able to know if freshman lineman ie Slidell boy Faulk should be able to play on the line early. If a freshman is not good enough....why in the world would we have to look to a freshman in the first place?
What is the point of being downbeat/negative? There is nothing good about that. Yeah, our running game has problems, and Les is even acknowledging this (which is surprising for him), but he is staying upbeat and positive about it and saying and believing that it will improve. Would you rather he was just like, "yeah, our running game is garbage, they have no hope, I don't even know why I bother coaching them?" And yeah, we have a green QB that isn't looking as good as guys like Herb Tyler and Tommy Hodson did when they were playing QB for LSU at JJ's age. But Les is upbeat and positive about it, even says that we are going to start throwing the ball even more than we did against Miss State (which we did 50% of the time). Would you rather he was just like, "yeah, our QB is not that great, he has no hope... screw it all, let's just forfeit the rest of our games and start preparing for next season"?
Boy....I stand corrected Les is Positive!!!! We will go through the rest of the season unscaved. LOL Great to see the never say die attitude..... enjoy it.
