Why is LSU so bad this year? We have over 10 seniors on this team but no leadership? We have Co-Defensive cordinators who coach a read & react zone type defense? With the last two recruiting classes being rated in the top ten & tons of athletes shouldn't we be playing more aggressive man to man? Aren't 95% of these players Miles recruits? We are down to our 4th string quarterback? None of our quarterbacks know the plays? Our offense & defense lines whom some though were the best in the nation were badly overrated? Our Defense is giving up close to thirty points per game in our last 15 or so games? This is a rebuilding year? Has this team quit ? Will losing 5-6 games this year hurt recruiting? Doesn't Looking bad on TV every week hurt recruiting? With the future in the SEC West looking harder than ever will we be in the hunt?I don't know the answer & I doubt anyone does for sure, I just know that the ultimate responsiblity has to rest with the head coach & I for one have been kinda disappointed in his coaching & his decisions this year.

    1) Poor decision making in the offseason (i.e., DC).
    2) QBs that weren't ready for SEC play called into action because of a kid that wasn't brought up correctly

Cut the QB's some slack, they were meant to be the BACKUPS this year, and perriloux was going to lead the force. But that never worked out, and they aren't going to come out and win 10 games this year. They weren't brought in to be the starters. Remember these aren't pro's they are KIDS, students, and you just have to give jarret lee some time to develop and i see a LOT of potential in him. This is a rebuilding year, you cant expect these freshman to come out and dominate. just wait till next year. :helmet:

I can pump sunshine with the best of them, but that was just a dreadful decision on Les Miles' part.

Funny thing is had LSU not won a NC, and let's say we just won the Sugar Bowl (WVU and OSU played for the NC instead), I don't think fans would have given Les Miles a free pass on that decision. I know I would not have. But we were all giddy and in the "Oh let's just put our faith in Les Miles" mode.

And it looked that way from the beginning. I hoped they would prove me/us wrong.

No! It is late November. He is experienced now! You saw again today why he will never be a legit SEC QB. 1) He threw another pick-six! Thankfully it was dropped. 2) He can't move at all! Which makes him a sitting duck in the pocket against good SEC D-Lines.

Jarrett Lee will be a sentimental backup next year at LSU. He'll get 4th quarter mop-up duty if we're lucky enough to be ahead of UL-Lafayette by a comfortable margin.

When the new head coach arrives in 2010, Jarrett Lee may get to be team manager. If he's lucky. :helmet:

I agree. I think it's funny that everyone has already forgotten that Pitt won a fluke game, beating WVU, and allowing into the NC game a 2-loss LSU team who lost its last home game to an unranked team. That was the first time a 2-loss team played in the NC.

I'm glad they got there, but it would be nice to get there outright, without technicalities and arguments like, "we were undefeated in regulation." We got ALL the breaks last season, and hardly any this season.

    But I'm a crybaby. :rolleye33:

Houston Nutt has now beaten Miles two straight. Is he the better coach? TV said today that Saban's recommendation for his replacement was -----Houston Nutt!!!

He's a FRESHMAN, he's not matt flynn or jamarcus russell or even a ryan perriloux! He's playing against very good VETERAN sec defenses and its gonna take more than a year for him to develop. Look at Colt McCoy, he wasn't anything special his first two years. Texas was a mediocre team after their run at the NC in 2005. But now colt is in the heisman race and has his team at a number 3 ranking with 10 wins and he's one of the most if the BEST accurate qb's in college football. And he has now passed for over 9,000 yards and 81 touchdowns in his career.

Be patient. those who complain a lot obviously haven't been a lsu fan when they weren't in the NC race.
