I'm sorry this happen to you btw.
I meant to say that yesterday.
Anyway this statement is what is wrong with our country today.
We have got to pass a bill for the sake of passing a bill, it doesn't matter what is or isn't in it.
No system will ever be perfect, there will be problems with any system that you come up with!
That also doesn't mean you have to radically change what we have had for years either.

Btw, If people are too lazy to work I don't think the tax payer should be burdened to pay for their healthcare either.
I'm talking about lazy ppl who don't want to work or help out society not someone who is unfortunate for one reason or another.

I agree with the idea that this doesn't have to be a one and done situation if it's done properly. Unfortunately, if we pass current legislation, it is a major overhaul that will require another major overhaul to fix. Don't delude your self into thinking healthcare reform is easy. The last two presidents have failed at it. If we pass certain measures to clean up the efficiency, then we can do things piece meal but this legislation could forever change the landscape of healthcare.

The average car payment for American Families with less than $30,000 income is $481 for 72 months. These wage earners are a huge percentage of the un-insured. It bugs the hell out of me that I am going to be heavily taxed so these people can put lifestyle above well being. How can you afford a huge car payment and not afford insurance?

I'm sure some have no survived the Va also.
I think this is part of the problem.
Lets face it, the way the government runs the Va and other government programs and services is your worst enemy on keeping the government involved in healthcare.
Look at the polling numbers of congress for about the last 6 years or so.
Also all the information from other countries that have been posted in these threads also turns ppl off.
I will say that single payer and government run healthcare has a bad rap to overcome.

I have said over and over that I am not against health care reform but I'm against what the Liberals are trying to do.
It's plain and simple, there is no money!
The politicians have broke the bank, this once great country is broke!
What do you think is going to happen with a new giant healthcare system in place and the country has no money?
Rationing, its going to be much worse than what we have now!

Also Americans don't want to pay for lazy ppl who sponge off the system.

The VA is a disgrace. We agree.

It is, however, a "backwoods operation" Little visibility, out of the mainstream, little interest to the vast majority of the populace, and that too is a disgrace.

    And now the answer:

    Who provides your healthcare?

    Your doctor, silly.

I bet most of you answered your employer or your insurer, meaning the one that pays for your healthcare. If you did not, you are WAY OUTSIDE THE NORM.

And that, my friends is the real problem. We got health care and paying for health care all mixed up.

And have a great new year. Geaux Tigers
