As for having a real-life Tiger, closest thing I've come across is this breed called a Bengal Cat, if I remember correctly (it's been years since I heard about it). They have a couple breeders in Louisiana... selling them for like $500 last I checked. They can look like leapords, cheetahs, or even Tigers... like these little guys:

If it were my pet I think I would do a little bit better job of keeping it clean. Although I can see how one that is either from the wild or allowed to roam around an unkempt reserve could be less than desirable.

Cute, but too much like a cat, no real Tiger quality.

Back in the Shaq at LSU days, the Mike the Tiger at the time was just a little Tiger cub, and the cheerleaders would bring him out on a leash right there on the side of the basketball court and he'd let fans pet him. It was very cool. Also, just a few days ago, I heard about a guy who has befriended our current big Mike the Tiger at his habitat, and Mike goes up to him every time he visits Mike's habitat. Person who told me about it didn't believe it either, but she was there and saw the guy doing it with her own eyes. Some of the other people there in the conversation were telling me it's on youtube right now.

Was there and pet the Tiger cub, but that isn't what I am talking about, although I know you know this. Yes, it is all over Youtube, pretty cool actually. Although I am sure the guy is happy there is a glass wall between him and Mike or he could be an LSU fan that becomes Tigerbait.:hihi:

When LSU took a chance on Saban, I thought it was a good hire. Note that great historical program of Alabama could have hired Saban back then at the same time, and they didn't... they hired Franchione instead. Yeah, I know not a lot of people were huge Tiger fans back then, but I was, and getting Saban back then was just as exciting as when we got Miles. But yeah, when we got Miles, I heard a lot of people doing the whole "who is Les Miles person" thing... but that is the exact same thing you'd have been doing when we hired Saban. In fact, Saban's MSU got crushed by Dinardo's LSU in the Independence Bowl not too long before we hired Saban. Had we had Miles first and Saban second, many of you would have hated the Saban hire.

In fact, most of the Tiger fans I know were saying that very same thing. That how could we be hiring a guy who can't even beat the guy we are firing. Forums such as this I didn't know about back then, if they even existed, but I am sure that the conversation would have been much the same as it was when we hired Miles.
