I saw the video too....craziest thing....guy is laying on his back on the ground with his hands up and dude just shot him three times. The guy on the ground even asked him, "Why did you shoot me?" and the cop responds, "I don't know." Culmination of cops being on edge and just plain old lack of experience by the cop. Pretty sure he is going to cost his city or county a nice 7 figure sum for the three he took in the leg.
After pulling over a drive-by shooting suspect, 17-year Kansas City police Captain Robert Mellon, was assassinated in his vehicle by that suspect.....didn't even have a chance to get out of his car. Suspect that was arrested and has now been charged.... Did this one make the national news?
Black labs are much harder to train, have bigger litters they dont tend to and are also much more aggressive. They also end up behind bars at the spca much more often because of this living off the taxpayers.
THE WAPO had a short story the day it happened, no follow up. I emailed the paper's "reader's rep" about it, and got a bogus answer about doing a search and I could find a story. Turned out to be the initial, brief item. Pretty pathetic.
Now they are saying the cop was aiming at the other guy, thinking he was a threat to the social worker guy. Not a good day for the guys in blue!
Here's the best thing I've read yet on this ongoing situation. Four cops draw down - but don't fire - on a University of Iowa football player, who takes a very objective look at the possible view from the other side. http://www.nola.com/crime/index.ssf/2016/07/a_football_players_pokemon_go.html#incart_most-read_
