Well, nothing was pointed at you directly...but you must be feeling guilty. I am not drunk with Purple kool aid, but I don't need to try and counterpoint EVERY positive thread out there either. I get it, some like to focus on the positive while some are just to hell bent to not let them have their little bit of peace of mind. I, like everyone have my concerns, trust me, I know we are not where we need to be. But I don't feel the need to only look at the bad. Life is to short and there are only 12 games of Tiger football a year, I intend to enjoy the things I can, and not worry about things that are out of my (and your) control, like coaching changes after the first game. Many teams looked bad the first week, we may look bad the second week.....truth is NO ONE knows for sure. Think about it.....we wait all year for the season.....then when 18-19 year old kids screw up, we cant wait to blow the whole thing up. I WILL enjoy every moment of LSU football I can. I may get pissed during the game, but I will always get over it. BTW....I am not saying I don't understand frustration, but sometimes you just have to let it go.
Would it also make you feel better if I told you we were down 8 starters and on the 96 yard pass we had 5 freshmen in?
First off I don't blame the players... they do the best they can, they don't need to hear anyone say they suck, they don't. And you're right there were some positives... but there were more of the same issues then improvements. My frustration like many others is our coaching staff continually cheating these kids out of the success they could be enjoying on the field. No matter what though I support all the kids who make up the LSU program.
wow I got a steak for you at a home game!! that is so right on - I love my Tigers and I enjoy every moment of each game. when things go bad it hurts but we have had so many highs over the last 10 years a little pain is nothing for me. Coach Miles has a class act going on and most fans are missing it. I am enjoying it and expect to see positive results in the Vandy game. :thumb: 100%
these coaches pull out the resumes on these coaches pull out your coaching resume and post it like they have thiers posted you are NOT the expert bro not even close!!!! :miles::miles:
I apparently have a more realistic view of things then you do. But thanks, I needed a good laugh. Have a great week. LOL. :thumb:
i see where you are coming from, and maybe i am just hoping that what we saw was first-game jitters, but i saw improvement in just about EVERY aspect of our game. there was a lot of distraction surrounding this game. LSU players said that they were going to prepare and practice like they were playing against the UNC starters, but i'm willing to bet that subconsciously they figured that all they had to do was show up. all they heard all week was how UNC was going to be fielding nothing but scrubs. the coaches need to learn how to NOT be complacent. they need to keep the throttle to the floor. but i digress... i think that you should wait until a few games into the season before you write off this team/season, man. try to enjoy the positives that were displayed on the field saturday. if we continue to see the same problems and trends by the WVU game, i will be the first to join you in stating that we need a change -- whatever that means. but, i am cautiously optimistic like most on this forum. i think LSU will be OK this season, :thumb:
