Unlike 50% of all the other college football teams we are trying to be 2-0! We get to see what our staff does to improve the running game - M. Ford! We get to watch our D get better! We get to see the major move from the 1st game to the 2nd game of a young team. I get to hear " it was just Vandy" on Monday!!! :miles:
I find it kind of sad that we look forward to a "chitty" Vandy because our offense couldn't hang with a 2nd string defense minues their LB corp, this game will be a lot closer than most realize.
Vandy has given good Tiger teams fits in Tenn. I would love to go to the game but not going to pay for Air and to much driving!! You are going to tell me that you don't see how close LSU was at being up 44 to 10 in the 3rd quarter on Sat night. I thought the team was ready and looked good until fumbles , holding, and running into kicker killed us. I guess I am a homer.
HELL NO, YOU ARE NOT BEING A HOMER! We should have been up 44-3!! Without a doubt, we showed a lot of potential, but we have some issues that need to be addressed if we want to turn from a good team into a great team. But I believe we can, Im just surrounded by negative sh!t talking Texans!! Its an exhausting battle and lets just say, some of the things LSU does, does not help my case!
Oh absolutely... I thought with what I saw them run as an offense in the first half, was well good enough to hang 50 by the end... but execution and penalties killed us... we can score 10 TDs a game... but if they are all called back on penalties it doesn't matter. It's just the frustration that comes with hearing the excuses for 2 straight years... and then we look like we did in the bowl game minus some long scores. The same frustration i saw with the defense from the first half to the second half. It seems we're no longer a strong game closer... reminiscent of the Bama squads pre-saban. We've always had good recievers... but the brightest point I saw was in the running game... (minus his fumble issues) was how easily Ridley ran the ball. His pushing the defender down into the ground face first before leaping over him for the score was a bright spot I think we see more of. Just please someone teach him how to hold onto the ball.
We should have pulled away a lot deeper against UNC, that game shouldnt have been close. But if we dont fix those problems, the Vandy game will probably be close too, so will State, WVU & so on & so on. We have enough talent to keep us in every game, if we use our talent right, we should keep our oppenents OUT of every game
I think we have plenty of Tiger Haters here as well. If something even resembling a positive thread starts....they are all over it to bash. Then they feed on the negative threads. It's like shark week on TF. It's a no win situation, you win sloppy and all hell breaks lose, I don't think it could be any worst if we had lost. No need to look around Houston......just stay on a Tiger Fan forum.
Spot on... but we don't do those things. I was a Miles supporter until Sat (frustrated but still supported him)... still might be a little but things do need to change and quickly...
I really see this year like the 2007 championship year (minus the championship) all of the games are going to be close. Many will end in overtime, but in the end, we will have a great year and get a good bowl.
