have that killer instinct ? they always same to keeps teams in the game. saturday it should have never come down to the end like it did. why can't we put a team away and break their will ? LSU out played florida from the start. also i can think of two other games that we had the chance to put a team away in the first half and didn't .
I assume you are talking about the offense? It's because our defense has enough killer instict for the both.
LSU plays a rugged schedule and isn't head and shoulders better than most of them--certainly not Florida. We must take what we can get just like everybody else. Every team in the top 25 has games like that.
No, you see LSU is never actually in danger of losing, it's all just a clever show from les miles to make it seem like we're playing bad so every game we play in will be exciting.
back in '07, we started the season with 3 straight 40+pt wins. ESPN, CBS, and the head concession guy at tiger stadium all complained that the games were "over" by halftime, so tv rating were slipping, and concession sales were non-existent. Skip asked Les to keep games interesting so people will keep watching and buy concessions. Les agreed. And since Les is a man of his word, we now keep every game close up until the last possible moment. sometimes, if the concession booths are really rocking, we'll take games into multiple overtimes. this is also why we lost 2 games during the '07 season. we were so comfortably en route to the title game, that the college season was losing its luster. so we dropped a couple games to keep the mnc game participants a mystery.
Of course they have a killer instinct. Add to that a never give up attitude. Why do you think that no matter what happens during the game good, bad or ugly they manage to pull off the victory. It's a hunt to Miles. In the end he will bag his prey.:geaux:
