Nah, the cheating set them back several years. Then again, if they hadn't cheated then maybe they would have never been so high to be set up to be set back. Does the make sense?

I agree. If their are two pretty equal ones give me the LSU guy, but I hate when people try to keep it in the family. Ray Perkins actually left Alabama, so their are no guarantees anyways. Though they did get some guy that wrestled a circus animal.

It would be cool to have Shaq coach our team. He knows fitness, discipline, basketball, how to act and draw fouls, and how to communicate through rapping. What a winning combo.

Not many schools have big time coaches out there. I'm perfectly happy with coaches coming here then leaving a few years later for their dream job. That means good things were happening in those few years.

Del Rio has ZERO college coaching experience. I think we are seeing that recruiting and player development are a HUGE part of successful college football programs. It's not just about the X's and O's.

For confirmation, see Charlie Weis threads on this board.

Not sure what the fascination is with NFL coaches. I think the ones
that are about to be fired this year have proven that success in the NFL
    guarantees NOTHING in the NCAA.:geaux:

I don't know off the top of my head a bunch that have been fired and most NFL coaches hired make improvements. Zook has done a fine job at Illinois, Al Groh just drilled Miami and has Virginia winning, Chan Gailey has done alright with Ga. Tech......John Bunting at Carolina was a failure but many have been before and will fail after him at Carolina.

Maybe I'm leaving out tons of NFL coaches who have flopped?

The reason I like NFL coaches is they can tell a recruit that they know what it takes to get to the NFL because they've been there. And I'm not talking about hiring an NFL runningbacks coach. I'm talking about hiring an NFL coordinator.

You would have had a problem dropping $2.5 mil on Sean Payton 3 years ago when we hired Miles? Payton has a good offensive mind and is young.

    I'll send in my resume:

I'm a junior at LSU, so I'm a LSU guy. I've won 4 consecutive national titles in NCAA 07, all undefeated seasons, and won all kinds of awards an set a bunch of records. Best of all. I'll work for cheap. Pay for books, tuition, food and boards. and some cash on the side for a nice car and maybe take the old lady out a couple of times.

i didn't say any HAD BEEN FIRED, but I know one that will be for sure.

Callahan at Nebraska is a complete and total flop. Charlie Weis better thank
his agent for locking him up. Wannstedt hasn't set anything of fire. Butch
Davis will get no medals this year.
