Exactly! All a QB in the SEC needs to do is manage the game, and JL can do this. The good thing about starting him is that it sets up consistency for the future with another pro style QB being the QB in waiting. I can't wait to see what intelligent playing call + consistent QB coaching will yield this year either! :thumb:
The threat kept defenses honest. OU doesn't have to worry about Lee getting a 1st down on a busted play.
Not as much as you think. He didn't get 1st-string reps last year, and did just fine. Besides, he'll have had time to get his timings worked out by gametime. He was splitting time with the 1's since the incident first happened.
I agree with you on this. Spencer Ware is a beast and we are at least six deep at RB. Look at this WR group (including the freshman.) Someone, anyone, needs to get the ball to them! :geauxtige
OU may still get a few expected surprises when the slimmed down Lee started running. Just wondering if Lee can run as fast as Matt Flynn; if so, I will be happy:miles:
I'd be willing to bet a boatload that Lee has been getting first string reps for the past TWO weeks...but yeah, he didn't get first string reps all of fall camp. Our coach IS crazy...like a fox. JL has been getting the majority of the reps since the fight...book it.
As stated by the Duck fan a couple of posts up, we are not playing Oklahoma Saturday night. We are playing the U of Oregon...UO. :thumb:
