Lee voted Captain of the game by his Team. I guess they don't have an issue with him. Geaux Tigers. Win the day.
One issue is that Lee did not get first string reps in practice until this week. I believe this is a significant disadvantage to him. Regardless of his talent, the lack of 1st string practice time will be telling.
The pro's don't use their qb's as runningbacks. Let the horses like ware and ford do the running. Let lee pass the ball. When jj was called upon to run, it took away from ridley running the ball last year. We don't need a running qb to win. What we need is lee to be consistant throwing the ball without turnovers.
I believe you to be correct. Yet, if most of this time was given to offering the ball to the tailbacks, I am not concerned. If this time missed was throwing the ball to receivers, it is a major loss. Yet, I believe he is the better throwing quarterback, and perhaps will not let us down. Everyone, please understand, I had no problem with JJ leading us into this season. Yet, if this is a team with the character I suspect, Jarret Lee will not have a problem leading this team. They are just deeper than that. So, everyone, love our Tigers, and not worry about them! No impure thoughts!
I have no idea what will transpire on Saturday, but I feel a lot better about it than I did a few days ago. I can imagine that a po'd CLM is a supercharged version, and sheesh does he have a right to be po'd. He wears his heart on his sleeve for his players and he hasn't been treated very fairly on too many occasions now. I think the players know they owe him big time. I really do. If you ask me, they owe it to their coach to play like their hair is on fire. I think Les Miles is the premiere coach as role model for his players in active college football today. He has stuck with LSU and now his players need to stick with him.
