Who's your favorite CURRENT player? (Besides Patrick Peterson) lol

    For the sake of adding some LSU football discussion around here, I figured I'd spruce the place up with a fun post.

    So, who IS your favorite current player? I'll hang up and listen.

    Its a toss up with me between Patrick Peterson and Kelvin Sheppard, as important as Peterson, Sheppard is that much more important because of our lack of experience at the position and he will be the overall leader on defense this year.

    Favorite new player is Mo Claiborne, I think he has star written all over him.

    On offense,Alex Hurst and RS.

    Definitely Patrick Peterson at this point but would quickly be replaced by any DT that stepped up and played like Anthony McFarland.

    What he said. If it weren't Peterson, it'd be Kelvin Sheppard, given his greatness and the fact that we both hail from the ATL area.

    I'll pick an offensive selection too, and say Shep. Love his attitude, and obviously his off-the-charts athleticism.

    Of the up and coming players, I am really excited to continue watching Ryan Baker and Ron Brooks terrorize ball carriers. They've been a joy to watch on special teams for the past couple, and I hope they each get ample opportunity to shine out there with the first team D this fall.

    Can't wait til September!

    Patrick Peterson. Have not seen skill like his at corner is a while in Tiger Town. He takes pride in what he does, and pushes himself to be the best he can. I think he really enjoyed playing Julio Jones last year, and he shut Julio down. If you can do that, you're good. Big physical corner with speed to cover.

    I hope by the end of the season Michael Ford ranks high on my list. I haven't seen him run, but we need a top RB to emerge and replace Charles Scott.

    Peterson is our All American for sure. But my favorite player is Jarrett Lee. He has big brass balls to come back after the fan abuse he took in 2008. Without him, we would now be just one Jordan Jefferson major injury away from a ruined season.

    Patrick Peterson might be the best player to play at LSU in the last 15 years. No small praise considering the studs we've had in this stretch like Landry, Russell, Dorsey, Spears, etc.
