Both suffer from the same problems..... They both have struggled keeping up their reputations since the SWC folded and they now have to actually play teams outside of the SMU's, TCU's, Rice's, Houston's, etc. of the football world. They both want to be the big fish in the little pond by beating each other. They both think they are better than they actually are in reality. They both lose to OU virtually every year. They both suck. All that being said, A&M sucks just a little bit more than Texas and every time A&M loses I get a smile on my face.
if you've ever been to A&m (and it's obvious you haven't) you would know that what i said is 100% true. i'm making observations. yes, a&m has loyal fans that go to games. and cults usually have 100% kool aid drinking participation. these are not a few people, students of this school are brainwashed. i'm telling you. i usually give you the benefit of the doubt scrap, but jeez let us talk about whatever we want. if you really don't care about a thread then don't post on it. i think this is a good thread b/c i always thought more LSU fans hated A&M but it is on boards like this where i learn many have a distaste for UT. so i would like to see the results of this poll. e A+M e
Scrappy, if you are tired of hearing people complain....don't read the thread. I had no problem in other threads where you bitch about us complaining but repeating it over and over again is dull and boring. We get it It's like the 3rd time you have questioned the board as a whole
I havent had many interactions withhorn fans so i'm not as up to speed on them. Aggies are (and have been) on my S-list for a long time because in college they drove me nuts. I went to LSU for fisheries biology and worked in the vet school and aquaculture research facility. Since ATM is one of the other few schools with big fish programs, their students were always coming over here for additional degrees. I have never encountered such complaining whiners in all my days. They would all talk about how bad LSU sux yet they would all come here for an education. go figure.
Well... this is an interesting subject to me. My senior year, I narrowed my college choices down to University of Texas, Texas A&M, and LSU. My very first visit to A&M, they were cut from the list. There is NO denying that they are indeed a cult. In fact, sometimes it seems they are not even allowed to have their own personalities. My senior year, I loved the University of Texas, I wore their gear & everything I read about their academics & athletics sounded great... and then I visited Austin. Wierd city with cocky people. In the end, a cult that thinks they are better than everyone else because of "traditions", is far worse than a school that actually has accomplished something & has cocky fans.
