Longhorn fan by far. They are the most arrogant and ignorant. After they beat North Texas last year, there fans were calling into radio stations already claiming the National Championship.
if you've never had the displeasure of visiting college station, you're in for a real treat(b/c like watching jerry springer, you'll feel better about yourself afterwards), it's like a sociology experiment to see what happens when 50,000 people who are lacking in social skills are put in a place together to live and go to school. seeing the way they interact with each other is a cross between summer camp and a cult. the longhorns are just like any other big college/big program (they have their jerks just like fla, fla st, miami, oklahoma, usc, notre dame, and so on) but texas a&m is pathetic. the words of their fight song are totally dedicated to the horns in the biggest display of penis envy in the world. they have no female cheerleaders and they instituted the tradition of kissing after TD's (predominantly b/c that is the only way aggie men can get some). and they think that everything they do is a tradition that they started. they get together on fri nights and practice their gay cheers b/c there is nothing to in college station on a friday night. i'm not even gonna explain terms like "humping" and all that "whoop" crap they yell out. it's completely juvenile and gay. they sicken me yet i feel sorry for them. so obviosly my vote goes to the faggies. it's a cult, no, it's summer camp actually it's both. btw, i would loooooooove to play them again.
Who Cares? There are far better issues to discuss than who is the worse fans. My theory on fans is this: You cannot sterotype a fan base by how some fans act at games or if some are arrogant or not. If were going to do that, I can tell you that I've encountered arrogant LSU people. I've encountered arrogant Mizzou people. Cubs fans and Cards fans. Why does it matter. I thought the board was to discuss what is happening with LSU. You always say I get on fans all the time, but all you guys do is knock other peoples fan bases. In general, I believe the fan bases have more logical fans than arrogant stupid ass fans. But, seems like everyone wants to point fingers at the fan bases b/c of what few people do. If fans of Texas are arrogant, let them be. They are not even SEC. They dont even concern you. I do believe you can knock a fan base though if they dont go to games or whatever. That reflects the fan base as a whole. But, some dummies talk big on Texas and then all the sudden they are the most arrogant people in the world. Or A&M. Or whoever. This is not a knock, this is an observation. I've learned from living here, that if your in an environment that is not your own and you see another teams fanbase first hand, you will think they are arrogant people. I'm sure if there is a Texas fan, or a Florida or Georgia or Missouri fan living here, they will think you guys are arrogant. Although I cant imagine why. If they dont root for your team, but they talk big on theirs, they are arrogant or bad fans.
The previous poster has the Aggies nailed, without a doubt. Living in Texas for the past nine years has made me dislike the Texas fanbase in general--though I have some Longhorn friends who can actually talk some good football, plus they're always so much fun to mess with immediately after the Red River Shootout. The Aggies on the other hand are truly cultlike. Going on and on about their Aggie rings and how special the yell leaders are, etc., etc. One of my husband's friends (an Aggie) got into a discussion with me several years ago about choice of college for our then unborn and hypothetical children. Naturally, I want my daughters to go to LSU. But on that night (when A & M was getting b***h slapped in the Sugar Bowl in '99), I mentioned that I'd rather have a child at UT than A & M, as I would prefer visiting Austin to College Station. He said, "Oh, so you want your kids to be gay?" I replied, "Do you really want to talk about gay?" I then enumerated the various "questionable" practices of the A & M faithful. He became really angry, and at one point, I thought he was about to cry. I was so proud.
I dislike both equally. Both are arrogant: Texas in a upper-crust, "look down the nose" kind of way, the Aggies in a "we're part of a cult and you, not being part of our cult, are infidels in our eyes" kind of way. Both can take a long walk off a short pier, IMO.
