The int was littetally 6 inches from a perfect throw. Look. He isn't a world beater, but he actually looked like a competent QB while out there. Did, you know, QB things.
Pattern. Seems like the same thing that's happened to so many of our QB's recently. Like 18 yr old sex- hard and quick out the gate but very short-lived.
The pass that was intercepted was not that bad a pass. Dupree should have won that battle by catching it or breaking it up. I would bet you a million dollars Etling was coached to give Dupree the benefit of doubt that he would win the battle. LSU's big recievers should win those battle most of the time. As for the fumble he was blindsided when our tackle blew his assignment, most QB'S would loose the ball on the play. IMHO Etling had a fabulous game for someone who hasn't started at QB for 2 years.
The TO'S in my opinion were not that flagrant. I would tell Etling to throw that pass again and I can't fault a QB getting blindsided that way and failing to hold onto the ball. Etling is impressive.
Agree. Seems like I remember Dupree even having inside position on it but still let the defender beat him back for the ball.
