Etling should get the start but I don't think he will. I believe will Miles will trot #6 out there and everything will be the same as it ever was. But... I was surprised that Harris didn't start the 2nd half last week so maybe I'll be wrong. Please let me be wrong...
Etling will definitely struggle against pressure, probably to the point that we call for his head too. But he has to go through that to grow. Remember this guy hasn't played against real pressure in over a year. We all know the other cant do it so let's get the guy on deck up. As far as Harris he would probably do well in an Auburn type offense, but we will never run that with miles so he is spinning his wheels.
Both qbs are probably better off it Etling starts. If Harris wants to be a bitch about it, he can stay home; but we could use Harris if Etling struggles. The problem is, in the past les lets his QB struggle, and struggle, and struggle, without putting qb2 in and giving qb1 a break. He mismanages the QB spot, which I've been whining about for years.
Etling took all of the heat off of Miles....Now everyone can blame Harris....But hit the breaks it was only a FCS school. Not Ole Miss, Bama or Arkansas. Etling will start....the SEC, Tiger Stadium too big for Harris.
Elting only had 2-3 bad throws. The rest were playable. The difference is night and day when Harris misses. Harris Is starting to miss by wider and wider margins for some reason.
