Yesterday I was thinking Miles would start Harris against MSU, to give him another shot and because Miles is that hard headed and thinks he can put a square peg into a round hole. Sort of like this: But now, I think he will start Etling and bring in Harris for special plays. I think Harris can perform better in those circumstances. Now whether Miles will let CC open up the offense like he did in the 1st half of JSU game, I don't know. I just don't understand why limits the offense the way he does. He tries to protect the QB's from making mistakes until he has complete trust in them. Metts he trusted and let CC use Metts talents. NOw that he hasn't had trustworthy QB's he doesn't want to give CC the freedom to run the offense they way he wants. So I think he appeases the fans and maybe even the team to a degree and starts Etling. I'm not confident that he will let CC run the offense the way he CC wants to use Etling.
Brandon Harris is gonna dig a grave if true. Brandon Harris tells former Tiger "u smart" .... for transferring before the season started, we can only assume. LINK I guess we know who is starting Saturday vs the Marooners. UPDATE: Looks like Brandon went private and/or nuked his tweet. This is the screenshot.
No, but he may perform better if handled differently. Don't get me wrong, I was thrilled at Etling's success and in disbelief that Les actually made the move.
Etling starts but Harris needs to go in for a series here and a series there. We need to build up his confidence in case Etling goes down with an injury.
Leonard Fournette, he's the whole team anyway. They built the whole offense around him anyway why not just make him QB. Hopefully if this Myles Brennan kid comes to LSU they build the offense around him so we can start throwing her ball.
As only Les can say it www.seccountry.com/lsu/les-miles-says-danny-etling-will-start-but-doesnt-name-him-starter
