My company has a year-end close and I'm the Controller so I couldn't make it even if tickets magically appeared. Houston to Nola is a short flight so I'm holding out for the slightest glimmer of hope but I don't think it's gonna happen. We stayed for the entire weekend of the 21-14 OU game and had a blast. I wish I could replay that weekend over and over and over and over and over. That 1st quarter had so many big plays and took forever. We were in the endzone that 4 out of 5 TD's were scored. The Justin Vincent run set the tone for the game. My dad and I limped over to Bourbon street after the game with utter satisfaction. We didn't quite make it to a bar but stopped for a few White Castle burgers. I'm almost postive the game vs. OU was on a Sunday night rather than a Monday. It was a crazy atmoshpere the night before the game and I thought that was a Sat night. The night before the game this time would be a Sun night so I guess it wouldn't be the same. Would the Sat. night atmosphere be bigger than Sun night?
I am driving down from Fort Lauderdale on Friday before the game......no ticket however I was in Lafayette during the 03 'ship and I wanted to be in New Orleans to soak in the experience...this time I won't miss out We need to get it organized as to a TF meeting place and time Has anyone been working on this?
I'll be there Saturday morning. And not leaving till Tuesday afternoon. Hotel Party!!! :thumb: Saturday Sunday and Monday nights.
Even if I had the opportunity to go, I'm not sure I would. Last time I went to a bowl game was the 87 Sugar Bowl. Haven't cared much for Neb since. :tigereye::tigereye::tigereye::tigereye::tigereye:
I'm "working on it", as far as trying to get some ideas...but I was hoping that there was gonna be some tailgating going on...where we could all meet up. Team Katt, ya'll going to the 'ship??
We're doing the same...only from the other side of the state...see ya on I-10 Definitely need a place to meet...maybe an out of the way bar, one not so filled w/ tourist...its been a while...:huh:
I'll be in La. 12/26 - 30, mostly in Mandeville. Will catch the 'ship on my small screen TV, and read the game thread and check chat during commercials and halftime.
