Hey you could always see a realignment of the SEC and put the gumps in the east. That would fix everything
Funny how you ignored it under Miles. http://www.theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/sports/lsu/article_79b3ff98-9ef8-11e7-971b-c796a169b97d.html
After reading this article we are even more screwed than I thought. I knew we were on borrowed time but with this much lack of depth it's much worse than I thought. We may go only 7-5 or 6-6. Other than Cuse and Troy every team left can beat us. We go anything above 8-4 then Oeaux should get coach of the year.
I don't know the details but you can't keep kids who either want to move on, won't stay eligible, or are simply assholes. Attrition under a new coach is inevitable. That's why changing coaches usually creates two steps back effect; nonetheless, the change was much needed. Look at what we currently have available to start at Qb, WR and OL. Elmer's recruiting on offense sucked shit in a snow cone.
I also wonder if miles was so beloved by his players, was it because he gave them so much rope? We saw the lack of discipline becoming a large problem over the last several years. I would think that if you get to rule the roost then all of a sudden a new sheriff comes to town to lay down some law it might make some waves. I think that is what happened seeing players leave. My thinking is these players weren't "runoff" but they are not given free reign any more and have to pay for their mistakes. It isn't fun to follow the rules when you are use to doing what you want. Freaking 18 year olds who have had smoke blown up their asses from every coach in the country trying to get them on their team then coming in and have to be held accountable instead of feeling like they are on a NFL team. Shit you can see it as evidence of Eaux's mentality of the best player plays whether he is a senior or a freshman. You would never get that with miles ball. The senior could suck but he will start in front of a underclassmen 9x out of 10. The culture has to change some and that might take some growing pains.
