What's frustrating is how Bob Stoops, a defensive coach can take a walk on and turn him into a really good QB and we can't do shit with 4 star qb's. The other night we were talking about Mahomes and how a lot of his plays were adlibs, @mctiger and @shane0911 and @TwistedTiger. MC pointed out that the kid did a lot of making shit up on the fly. Which he did. We have qb's that are capable of that too, but they don't so to me, and this is no epiphany this has been discussed and beaten to death. Les and Cam Cameron just suck. Mettenberger was just a hell of a QB, none of what he did should be credited to Les or Cam, that was all Zach. It sucks knowing that a defensive coach can turn a walk on QB into a household name and we can't do shit with talent.
Also, Art Briles and Baylor, they lose their throwing QB and their offense is designed around the pass, so what do they do in the bowl game? Run for 600 yards. Briles deserves a lot of credit for that.
Losing season every year from 1996-2009. Now, 4 of the last 5 seasons with 10 wins or more. He's done pretty well.
Grew up in a Clemson Intensive environment . An uncle was a football legend there in late 40's. All my male cousins went ther. Grew up with Tiger Rag, but got to tell you, our version kicks ass on that Clemson crowd. Carry on.
I knew Clemson was the better team, but I thought OU would have played a little tougher and the game would be closer.
