you can scratch that off the list. it's sooooooo overrated. in the SEC, probably arkansas. I usually pull for the closest team to me. But, I'd become a bigger McNeese fan since they get a lot of guys from cecilia.
I agree. Before I "discovered" LSU football (after my daughter moved to the Baton Rouge area), I couldn't have cared less about who won ANYTHING, and I had a hobby that I enjoyed fairly often. Now my passion is LSU football. My hobby? Haven't touched it since football season started.:geaux:
Never thought about it. The only time I cheer for another SEC team is during bowl season, or in conference games that have a bearing on LSU. If there were no LSU, I might be able to cheer for Florida, because I have a lot of friends from college who are from that area. More likely, though, is that I would lose most of my interest in college football.
There is a huge segment of our society across the country that has no family history of attending college. This is often a huge reason for only being passionate about the NFL and not caring much about college football. Without LSU and the plethora of traditions that have been a part of my life since childhood, I'd probably just be a Saints fan and follow college football more casually. To answer the question though, Georgia has never bothered me as much as the other SEC schools and their mascot and between the hedges are likeable enough. I liked Michigan as a kid because of their helmets/uniforms and fight song.
Tough decision. I would say Vandy, but that is just setting yourself up for disappointment. I could care less about Kentucky. I hate all of the teams in the West. FL and TN are out because we have had some big games against them, ie a little bad blood. I suppose it would have to be 1. S Car 2. UGA.
Even though I'm not an LSU fan, if, say, there suddenly was no Alabama, I would root for Vanderbilt. They need more love. ;p And hey, maybe even LSU. They have the best fans out of all our rivals. :/
