Who Would You Prefer In The Title Game?

Discussion in 'The Tiger's Den' started by LSUTiga, Nov 19, 2011.

?

Would you prefer to play a "lesser" opponent or a "quality" one?

  1. Whichever team the system gives us is fine

  2. I would want the perceived "best" team we can face

  3. I would prefer a "lesser" opponent to ensure a better chance of success

  4. Makes me no difference either way.

Generally speaking, that makes sense and I agree with you.

But the bcs doesn't make sense, and that's the problem.

The BCS is a better system than we've ever had but you're right, if/when voters think like you, the system doesn't make a bit of sense.

Why do you keep trying to change the issue?

    Answer it.

Would you be fine when it's all said and done with LSU having a better record with a much tougher schedule and tying Bama head to head and Bama being declared national champion?

Obviously you would. Not only does that make you a ****ty LSU fan, it makes you football ignorant. But everyone knows you're more interested in stirring the **** than you are legitimate discussion.

I'll admit I'm scared of a Bama rematch. We're the same team wearing a different uniform. I'm confident in our ability to blow out any other possibility(sorry GiantDuckFan)

So now it's about tougher schedules and not "having had their shot?"

With that logic you're going to argue that Oklahoma and their a piss poor schedule should get in ahead of a Bama team with a tougher schedule? Can't have it both ways cowboy.

    Apparently not. lmao

It's not a matter of what I am fine with, it's our system and it is what it is. Do you not understand that? You keep trying to make this about you...and me. It's much bigger.

Many fans of college football didn't feel like LSU was one of the "best" two loss teams in 2007 even though, to me, it was SO clear in looking at the FINAL POLLS and seeing how many top ranked teams we played/beat. That still didn't make them see.

Me too but that's what makes it fun. Why you think people jump out of planes, strap themselves to a bull, attach a bunge cord...

The adrenaline rush, it's what makes us tune in for the "big games". It's why tickets are high as giraffe balls for those games and scarce.

If Bama hadn't played and lost to LSU then no to Oklahoma, but since Bama DID LOSE to LSU, back of the line for the gumps. They had their shot. Next in line...

You still haven't aswered the question. 3rd time.

You have to consider the potential outcomes when deciding who should play because it plays into the decision.

You think we should play Bama EVEN though the potential outcome doesn't make a lick of sense. Kinda like you.
