Credit Harbaugh for that teams over-achievement. He's who I want to replace Miles. But that's a whole other thread, isn't it?
I wouldn't disagree with that, he seems like a great coach. Ive seen him in a interview as well and he seems like a real smart guy.
If something is done during the year, yes. I am hearing some rumblings that something could be done before the end of the season and maybe soon.
When the offensive coordinator get canned, that is the 2nd to last Jenga piece before the whole thing crumbles. Don't have anyone else to blame after that...
It would take a miracle to get a big name here as OC. Mile's seat is more than hot. It's on fire. No one is going to uproot their family and start a job at a place when there are huge questions about whether their boss will be around or not.
Priority one--steal the best OC in the SEC from someone who feels under-appreciated by his prima donna head coach. Someone who knows the territory. Failing that, steal the best OC in the rest of the country from some team that is underpaying them. Some ambitious non-BCS team OC who is ready for prime time.
true, the good news is however, they would have LSU talent (well everywhere but QB) and pretty much would have autonomy to run the offense how you would want. on top of that LSU is a young team (mostly) will probably just get better with a competent OC. jmo. i also hope we don't go with the spread. some of the names that have been mentioned are spread guys.
Why are we discussing replacing Crowton? Let's let the new HC choose his own staff. Mr Peterson? Mr Patterson? Are you listening???
