Please do not mistake this for a "defending Crowton" thread. I want him gone last year. Just curious who people would like to see as his replacement.
Here is a good one.............someone will get him real soon. Brian Harsin Boise State Harsin Bio - Broncosports.com - The Official Athletics Website Of Boise State University
I doubt he would leave Boise St. He's having success there and has a team that is a constant BCS bowl team. He's probably waiting for Petersen to leave and he would probably be the head coach there. LSU would probably wouldn't be much of a step up, since it's he's also a grad of Boise St.
I think it is Peterson that will stay except for a VERY FEW select jobs as is the case with Patterson. IMO I think Harsin would be all over LSU for the simple reason it is a huge step up even as a Boise grad. He is only 32, and has plenty of time to "replace" Peterson. Another guy I have always liked at least from a QB coach standpoint is Major Applewhite.............not sure how much he gets involved in overall offensive game management at Texas but his day is coming too. I cannot believe LSU cannot RECRUIT the type QB they need and keep him (I think it can be at least 50/50 JJ and JL were mistakes). Not sure how he would have done but I sure wonder what Broadway could have done for LSU even as a freshman this year.
Applewhite is assistant HC and RB coach....kind of odd for a QB to coach running backs. Looks like he's being primed to replace Brown. Positive about Applewhite is that he can probably recruit the hell out of Texas. Does anyone not think that is why Saban hired him at Alabama?
